Assistant Principal
I have dedicated 25 years to the field of education. As a Caribbean Afro-Latina from California, I began my journey as a Teacher Assistant in special education for eight years. In 2008, I relocated to Texas, where I worked as a program assistant for two years before becoming a high school special education teacher at Boulevard Heights for 8 years. In 2018, I transitioned from the classroom to take on the role of Behavior Intervention Specialist for the district, a position I proudly held for five years.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology from Texas Wesleyan and hold two master's degrees—one in Special Education and another in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. In 2025, I completed my doctoral degree in Education, specializing in Social Emotional Learning at National University.
As a mother of four wonderful children, ranging from toddler to adulthood, my life is certainly busy and full of adventure. I am thrilled to be returning to Boulevard Heights and the Transition Center, and I look forward to fostering a positive school culture that encourages learning and nurtures strong relationships.
