Welcome to AAC and Literacy!
This section is devoted to supporting oral and written language development in students with complex communication needs and other developmental disablities. Our aim and intended outcomes are to improve children's literacy skills and oral expression so they can share their stories about their interests, hopes and dreams! Conversational skills and friendships are among the top goals for our children, and we are finding that one of the fastest ways to learn to participate in a conversation and make friends is to share written stories.
